Today Dave showed us the process of making moulds, something that I have been very keep to learn. Below are the images I took of the process and the samples we made.

Notes for me to remember are to ensure the frame is secured in the corners and to fill all gaps with clay to avoid spillages. Use the chart to measure out the plaster. Once the water has been added, keep stirring to get the plaster smooth and free from lumps. Pour the plaster in once the plaster starts to set but don’t leave it too long.

Mould might be a useful tool for me within my project as I might make a range of pots that are all the same size with the glaze finish determining which season they represent.
